Wisemaker Launches Smart Power Protection Box for Industrial Panel PCs

       In industrial computer applications, situations such as sudden factory power outages, unstable power supply on automated production lines, employees forgetting to shut down computers after work, or data not being saved in time during a power loss are common. These issues often lead to data loss, damage to circuit boards, locked storage chips, and complex equipment repairs, which delay the recovery of production lines.

       To address these industry-specific problems, this Smart Power Protection Box was designed. It automatically switches to battery power the moment the Panel PC’s power supply is unexpectedly cut off and sends a command, tells the PC to shut down on its own. When used together with our “WM-SPPB” software, it enables automatic shutdown during power loss and automatic startup when power is restored — all without manual operation. This effectively protects the Panel PC while also reducing labor costs.

       The Smart Power Protection Box supports a wide DC input range of 9V to 36V and features reverse polarity protection. If the power supply’s positive and negative wires are connected incorrectly, the device will enter self-protection mode and automatically resume normal operation once the wiring is corrected.

Product Features:

1.1.  Input voltage range supports DC 9V to 36V, output voltage DC 12V, with a total output power of up to 120W;

1.2.  Voltage input includes protections against static electricity, surges, and reverse polarity; both voltage input and output have over-voltage and over-current protection. Once the correct input voltage is applied, the module automatically resumes normal operation;

1.3.  In the event of abnormal power failure, it can seamlessly switch to battery power, and when external power is restored, it seamlessly switches back to external power supply. If external power is not restored within a certain time, it automatically sends a command for the PC to shut down properly. While supplying power to the device, it simultaneously charges the battery to ensure it remains fully charged and ready for any power outage;

1.4.  The Smart Power Protection Box features multiple protections for the lithium battery, including overcharge, over-discharge, low voltage, and temperature protection. The circuit has built-in current sharing technology to balance the load, preventing uneven charging and discharging among individual battery cells;

1.5.  Uses 4 pieces of standard 18650-type 3.7V lithium batteries. It has reverse polarity protection — 

if the battery cells are connected incorrectly, the module will not operate. Once the cells are connected correctly, normal operation resumes. It also includes temperature detection and protection to effectively prevent battery overheating and damage.

1.6.  The enclosure is made of aluminum alloy with anodized surface treatment for oxidation and corrosion resistance. It uses fanless cooling and has an overall IP66 protection rating. It comes with waterproof connectors, 1-meter cables, and quick-connect terminals, making installation and wiring simple and fast. The compact size occupies minimal space.

1.7.  Operating temperature range of the Smart Power Protection Box is -40°C to +80°C (battery not included, purchase separately according to your needs).

1.8.  Comes with stainless steel mounting brackets supporting multiple installation methods. It can be fixed inside an electrical box or hung on a wall, with easy and convenient assembly and disassembly.
