2.    Installation and Use:

2.1.  Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment cover, correctly insert 4 pieces of 18650 lithium batteries, then close the battery compartment cover.

2.2.  Module Connection: Connect the input voltage correctly, then connect the output voltage and serial communication cables to the Panel PC; (remember the serial port number connected).

2.3.  Software Installation: download the software package, after Unzip File, copy the folder to the C drive, then double-click to run application, select the installation path, confirm the installation, create a desktop shortcut, and complete the installation.

 2.4.  Service Program Installation: click cmd run as administrator, enter command,and it would be installed automatically.

 2.5.  Software Setup:

        Open software file location, set application as “run this program as an administrator”,

         Then click the shortcut, when the settings window pops up, select the correct serial port number from the dropdown menu,

          click “Connect”, and once the connection is successful, the window will automatically run.

Note: The above five steps complete the hardware and software installation and setup. 

Afterwards, the software will automatically start on boot; (no manual operation is required).


3.    Serial Port Change:

Click the shortcut to open the settings window, click Cancel, select the new serial port number from the dropdown menu, click Connect, and once the connection is successful, click Close to complete the serial port change.

4.  Steps to Achieve “Auto Power-On After Power Returns and Auto Shutdown on Power Loss”

4.1.  Follow step 2 for installation and use: install the battery cells in the Smart Power Protection Box, connect the power supply and communication cables, and set up the software;

4.2.  Power on the PC, press the Del key to enter BIOS, go to the Advanced tab, set the Restore AC Power Loss option to Power On,press F10 to save, then press Esc to exit BIOS.

With these two steps completed, the protection box and PC installation and settings are done, with this setup, the system can automatically power on and shut down based on power status no need for anyone to be there.


5.  Mounting Bracket Installation and Use:

Take out all the accessories, tighten the screws, and install the bracket in the appropriate location.

6. Precautions for 18650 Lithium Battery Cells:

6.1. Battery Cell Purchase:

   6.1.1.  Choose brands:  such as Panasonic, Samsung, LG, EVE Energy, etc.; high-quality batteries have longer cycle life;

   6.1.2.  Voltage specification: purchase standard 18650 cells with a nominal voltage of 3.7V;

               Note: Flat Top Rechargeable Battery (Not button top).

   6.1.3.  Capacity recommendation: for frequent power outage scenarios, choose higher capacity batteries;

              common capacities include 3000mAh, 3500mAh, and 3800mAh;

 

   6.1.4.  Check batches: purchase cells from the same batch or with close manufacturing dates to avoid large differences in internal resistance.


6.2. Battery Cell Usage:

   6.2.1.  To avoid lithium battery failure, keep them away from heat sources and install in a well-ventilated area; when used outdoors, provide a protective cover for the power protection box;

   6.2.2.  If the device will not be used for an extended period, please remove the lithium battery cells from the Smart Power Protection Box;

   6.2.3.  Do not mix new and old battery cells together to avoid inconsistent charging and discharging times.
